• This customer reached out to us because they live on the water and were experiencing drainage issues that were leading to bottom of their home being flooded. The crawl space was previously encapsulated after Hurricane Sandy, but it appeared to not have been correctly done. To bring this crawl space back to its former glory and prevent any future flooding or moisture-related issues, we performed the following services:
  • A ground clean out to remove old debris and insulation.
  • A mold treatment to remove any present mold growth.
  • Raised the grade using ⅜” pea gravel to fill in the low lying areas creating puddling water near the crawl space entrance.
  • Installed 25-mil drainage matting.
  • Installed a 12-mil string reinforced vapor barrier to the floors, walls, & pillars.
  • Installed R19 encapsulated insulation.
  • Installed a ¾ HP sump pump.
  • Ran the sump pump drainage through the bulkhead.
  • Installed an Aprilaire 1820 dehumidifier and routed the condensation to enter the sump pump basin.
  • A wood-boring beetle treatment.
