• This Somers Point homeowner reached out to us because they admittedly hadn’t paid much attention to the crawlspace in years. They wanted to change that and immediately begin crawlspace repair by waterproofing the area. Following our 22-point comprehensive crawlspace evaluation, we determined that the following services were needed to make the crawlspace clean, dry, and protected:
  • A ground cleanout to remove debris and old insulation.
  • A full two-stage mold treatment to kill the present mold growth and inhibit any future growth.
  • Raised the grade of the crawlspace using ⅜” pea gravel.
  • Installed 25 millimeter drainage matting.
  • Installed a 12 millimeter string reinforced vapor barrier to the floors.
  • Installed an Aprilaire 1820 dehumidifier.
  • Extended the sump pump drainage line out of the left side of the house that runs underground for 37 feet towards the front yard to a pop up emitter.
  • Replaced the dryer vent with a 4” aluminum dryer vent pipe.
  • Installed a dryer vent hood exiting the foundation from the crawlspace.
  • Replaced the current sump pump with a ½ HP Zoeller sump pump.
